As a senior principal scientist in the drug product services department, I lead formulation development activities related to parenteral drug product of biologics. I also manage a group of technicians and scientists.
The most important main activities
My job consists in designing, executing and delivering formulation development studies adapted to the customer needs. I work directly with a group of scientists with whom I coordinate the lab activities and discuss the study outcomes. I participate in multi-disciplined project teams within the department. My daily work also includes interaction with customers to understand their needs and report progress on projects.
Important career milestones that led you to the current position
I studied pharmacy and did a PhD in pharmaceutical technology that was applied to biologics drug product. I then held different positions in pharmaceutical industry related to parenteral drug product development. I worked in biologics drug product formulation development departments and in parenteral drug product manufacturing.
